We process and use your personal data in accordance with the provisions of European law (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council).
This statement applies to the website and software offered by Smiddle International, hereinafter referred to as Smiddle.
The personal data that we collect
Smiddle collects data to increase efficiency so that users get the best experience from our services. You provide some of this data directly, for example, when you contact us for support. We get some of them by registering data about your interaction with our services, for example, using technologies such as cookies, and receiving error reports or data on the use of the software that you provide to us.
We also receive data from third-party suppliers (including other companies). For example, we supplement the data that we collect by purchasing demographic information from other companies. We can also use the services of other companies to obtain information about your location by IP address to apply the appropriate localization settings. The set of data that we collected depends on what services and features you use, and may include the following information.
Identity and contact details. We collect information such as first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number and other similar contact details.
Credentials. We collect passwords, password hints, and other security-related information used to authenticate and access accounts.
Demographic data. We collect information about you, such as age, gender, country of residence, and preferred language.

Location data. We collect information about your location that may be accurate or inaccurate. When you have enabled services or features that work based on your location, we collect accurate location data that can be obtained using the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wi-Fi access points. Approximate location data can be obtained, for example, based on your IP address or data that is more or less related to your location, such as the name of the city or zip code.
We also collect the contents of your messages that you send to us, for example, your reviews and product reviews, questions or information for our support service. When you contact us, for example, in a support service, communicate with our representatives by phone or chat, all these data can be tracked and recorded. When visiting our offices, your image may be recorded by security cameras.

Using of personal data
Smiddle uses the data that is collected for three main purposes, described in detail below:
- business management and the provision of services we offer (including to improve their quality and personalization);
- sending messages, including advertising messages;
- display advertising.
The provision and improvement of our services. We use the data to provide and improve the services we offer, as well as to conduct basic business operations. This includes the work of the development, research and user support services. Some examples of this use are described below.
The provision of services. Often, within these services, personalized functions and recommendations are applied that increase the productivity of your work and make it more enjoyable, and your experience of using these services is formed on the basis of your own actions, interests and location.
Customer support. We use the data to detect maintenance problems and provide other customer service and support services.
Product Activation. We use data, including the type of devices and applications, location, unique identifiers of devices, applications, networks and subscriptions, to activate the software.
Improving the quality of services. We use data to continuously improve our services, including with the addition of new features.
Protection, security and dispute resolution. We use the data to protect and ensure the necessary level of security for our services and users, to detect and prevent fraud, verify the validity of software licenses, resolve disputes and fulfill the terms of agreements.
Business operations. We use data for conducting comprehensive analysis and business analytics, which ensures the functioning, protection, informed decisions and reporting on the efficiency indicators of our activities.
Correspondence. We use the data that we collected to deliver you our correspondence and its personalization. For example, we may contact you by e-mail or other means to inform you that the license has expired, to inform you of updates. In addition, you can subscribe to the electronic newsletter and choose whether you want to receive marketing materials from Smiddle by e-mail, in the form of SMS-mailing, regular mail or by phone.
Reasons for the disclosure of personal data
All your personal data will be kept in strict confidentiality and will not be disclosed to unauthorized third parties or made public without your prior notice in this notification or in person.
We disclose personal data with your consent or, if necessary, to conduct a transaction or provide the services requested or authorized by you. We may transfer your data to a third party at your request, for example, when you link accounts with other services.
We also disclose personal data to suppliers (partners) or agents who work on our behalf for the purposes described in this document. For example, partner companies may require access to personal data to perform these functions in order to provide user support services or to help protect and ensure the security of our systems and services. In such case, these companies adhere to the provisions of this privacy statement and data protection requirements. They are not allowed to use personal data for any other purpose than those set forth in this statement.
We may also disclose personal data as part of a corporate transaction, for example, when merging or selling assets.
Finally, we will access, disclose or store your personal and other data in order to carry out the actions necessary to:
- compliance with existing legislation or the provision of answers to inquiries within the framework of the judicial process, including from law enforcement agencies or other state organizations;
- protect our customers, for example, to protect against unwanted messages or attempts to fraud users of services;
- the operation and support of the security system of our services, including the prevention or termination of attacks on our computer systems or networks;
- protecting the rights or property of Smiddle, including ensuring compliance with the conditions governing by your using of the relevant services - however, if we receive information indicating that someone is using our services to transfer stolen intellectual or physical property, we will not independently consider user data, and we will send a request to law enforcement agencies.

Access and management of personal data
In the Smiddle software product, you can view and edit personal data.
Example: Smiddle account. To access or edit the data in your profile in your Smiddle account, change the password, add security information, use the profile settings in your account. Protection of personal data
Smiddle makes efforts to protect users' personal data. For this, a variety of technologies and procedures are applied that provide protection against unauthorized access, use or disclosure of personal data. For example, we store the personal data you provided in computer systems with limited access, which are located at protected sites. When transferring confidential data via the Internet, they are protected using encryption.
Where we store and process personal data
Personal data collected by Smiddle can be stored and processed in your region, in Ukraine, Estonia, USA, or any other country or region where Smiddle or its affiliates, divisions or partner companies operate. We make every effort to ensure that the data collected by us as part of this privacy statement is processed in accordance with the provisions of this statement and the legislative requirements of the states where this data is stored.
When transferring personal data from the European Economic Area to other countries, we use various legal mechanisms, including contracts, to ensure the "transfer" of your rights and remedies along with your data. Smiddle also adheres to the principles of the Safe Harbor agreements between the USA and the EU, as well as between the USA and Switzerland, in accordance with the requirements of the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and storage of data from the European Economic Area and Switzerland.
How we store personal data
Smiddle stores personal data as long as it is necessary to provide services and fulfill our obligations to the law, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
Corporate Services
Corporate services are services, solutions, and related Smiddle offers that are primarily intended for enterprises, and for which the organization (our “client”) enters into an agreement with Smiddle. These include software products. If there is a discrepancy between this Smiddle privacy statement and the terms of any agreements concluded between the client and Smiddle, the terms of such agreements shall prevail.
Our customers can administer corporate services for end users. If you use your Smiddle work or school account (email address provided by your organization) to log in to corporate services, the owner of the email domain will be able to:
- control and administer your account;
- access and process your data, including the contents of your messages and files.
Smiddle is not responsible for the security practices and principles of the privacy or security policies used by our customers; these methods or principles may differ from Smiddle’s respective rules and policies. If your organization controls your use of corporate services, all requests for privacy should be addressed to administrators.
Changes to this privacy statement
If necessary, we will update this privacy statement, taking into account the wishes of users and changes in our services and / or legislation. When you post changes to this statement, the date of the last update, which is indicated at the beginning of the document, will change. If significant changes are made to the application or if the principles for the use of personal data by Smiddle are changed, you will be notified in advance in one of two ways: either by means of a general announcement, or by means of a notification that will be sent directly to you. We strongly recommend that you regularly re-read this privacy statement in order to know how Smiddle protects your personal data.
